Galdar is one of the most interesting towns in the north of Gran Canaria. One of the most emblematic attractions is the centenary dragon tree that is in the courtyard of the town hall. In this municipality is one of the most representative archaeological sites of the Canary Islands, the Cueva Pintada, which exhibits a valuable sample of the art made by the ancient Canarians.
