Puerto de Mogan is a fishing village that has been transformed in the last decade into one of the most beautiful tourist areas of the municipality of Mogan. The village and the tourist area have merged to form one of the most beautiful and picturesque coastal places in the municipality of Mogan. Located at the mouth of a steep valley on the southwest coast of the island of Gran Canaria attracts many tourists who have made this town their second home or simply come to enjoy its charm and gastronomy. The canals linking the marina with the fishing port have led to it being nicknamed "Little Venice" or the "Venice of the Canary Islands". Restaurants and bars line the marina and beach. To get to Puerto de Mogan you can do it by the GC1 motorway or by the coastal road, known as the old road, the GC-500, (temporarily closed). Its marina is also an important stop for ocean-going yachts starting their journey across the Atlantic to the Caribbean. The beach is golden sand.
